Mr. E. A. Daht aooeared, and comolained about his street and requested an
abatement on his sewer assessment because of the condition of the road.

legal standing however somewhat doubtful as being under god,nd ~.t was not visible.
The Mayor asked the attorney - If the village close~ off the oresent drainage on
Bronson's ~rooerty, and the water should rise on Bronson's ~ro~erty and some child
should venture near and drown in the high water resulting from the closing of the
oresent drainage, would t~e ~ilage be liable? The Attorney answered, "Yes."
~e Mayor asked the engineer for a solution, and the engineer made a rough sketch
of a storm drain on Mr. Dabl's oroperty, the council, Mr. Dahl and the mayor viewed
the sketch. Mr. Dahl stated that he did not want a storm drain.
The Mayor asked the engineer if a storm drain would solve the problem and the
Engineer LeRoyWinner answered, "Yes".

(Indian Mound Park - Eval Johnson)
LIONS CLUB OFFER TO IMPROVE ,PARK
Appearing were Tom Sincheff and Roger Drews of the N. W. Tonka Lions Club.
They offered the services of the club to improve the Indian Ceremonial Park,
they asked if the park could not be named Lions Park, the Mayor suggested if
they could find the Indian word for Lion it might be acceptable.
Heikkila moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion
BE IT MOVED, the Village Council accept the offer of the N. W. Tonka Lions C1ub
to improve the Indian Ceremonial Park, near the newly constructed
Sewer Plant.
The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.

George Shepherd Jr. aopeared to state his opinion on his high sewer charge bill.
The council stated the matter would be reconsidered in the fall but nothing
could be adjusted at this time.
