The Village Council.~t as the Board of Review at the Mound Fire Station
at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Koehn, Trustees Scruton, Pfeifer, Branden-
burg, Assessor He!.en Newell, Assistant Supervisor of Assessments of Hennepin
County, Bob Martin, and Attorney Ray Ploetz.
Scruton moved, Pfeifer seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept
the minutes of the July 21, 1964 meeting on file in the Village Clerk's
Office.
The following applications for review were heard:
1. Ruby Melius
Plat 61580, Parcels 6600 and 6625
Value of property has increased due to cottage being recently remodeled.
Since she combined thc lots, she would, like to have one sewer assessment
removed. She was informed this was not an assessment hearing and request was
therefore irrelevant. She accepted the value placed on her proberty by the
assessor; in fact, it is insured for this amount.
2. Bruce Schroeder - Car Wash
Plat 62060, Parcel 9950
Value protested
Protested that the building permit included personal property and that
improvements to the land were substantially less than the building permit
would show. Assessor will make reviewal and hearing will be continued to
June 29, 1965 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station.
H. E. Wolner
Standard Station
Plat 62050, Parcel 2150
Mr. Wolner felt certain items assessed as real estate should be trans-
ferred to personal property. Oil companies use various methods of report-
ing personal property. It was agreed that the items reported by American
Oil Company on their personal property report would be removed from real
estate for 1965.
Scruton moved, Pfeifer seconded to adjourn to June 29, 1965 at 8:00 PM
at the Mound Fire Station. Unanimously carried.
