Koehn, Mayor TAXICAB INSURANCE - See * on Page 419 ?feifer moved the following ordinance and Brandenburg seconded the motion: ORDI~L~NCE NO. 195 AN ORDINANCE AMENDINC CHAPTER 38, PART D, "LICENSING AND REGULATION OF CERTAIN SERVICES--TAXICABS" OF THE MOUND CODE OF ORDINANCES BE IT oRDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF HOUND, MINNESOTA: 1. That Chapter 38, Part D, of the Mound Code of Ordinances, entitled "Licensing and Regulation of Certain Services--Taxicabs" be, and hereby is, amended by amending Section 38.41 thereof to read as follows, to-wit: "SECTION 38.41 · Insurance Policies Before a license shall be delivered to any &per~'tor he 'shsll~deposit w~th the Village Clerk a poli~y or policies of an insurance comnany or companies duly licensed to transact business in this state, insuring the operator of any taxicab to be licensed against loss from the liability imposed by law for damages on account of bodily injuries or death, or for damages to property resulting from the ownership, ~mafntenance or use of any taxicab to be owned or operated under such license, and agreeing to pay to any judgment creditor, to the extent of the amounts specil~ied by reason of such liability.' The policy or policies shal~l be approved by the Village Attorney as to form and compliance with this ordinance. The limit in any such insurance PoliCy of such liability of the insurer on account of the ownership, maintenance and use of such taxicab sh~11 not be less than $25,000.00 for bodily injuries to death of one person and $50,000.00 on account of any one accident resulting in injuries to an~or death of more th~n one person, and a total of ~0,000.00 liability for damage to property of others, arising out of one accident.~ Said policy or policies may provide for a deductible not to exceed $100.00 for bodily injuries or death arising out of any one accident and $100.00 for damage to property arising out of any one accident. The insurance policy shall contain a provision that the insurance company shall give the Village Clerk 30 days notice of cancellation by registered mail, The form of and sufficiency of such policy and the surety thereon sh~11 be subject to the approval of the Village Council." 2.
