AT THE MOUND FIRE STATION Present: Mayor Koehn, Trustees DeGuise, Scruton, Attorney Ploetz, Engineers Winner and Leer, and Village Manager Kopp AWARDING OF BIDS Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded the motion to accept bids for Fuel Oil, Sand, Salt and Binder Rock and to table the bid on Calcium Chloride. RESOLUTION NO. 65-255 Roll Call Vote: Scruton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. RESOLUTION RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING BID (Fuel Oil, Sand, Salt and Binder Rock) CURB & GUTTER - Adjacent to Registered Land Survey #486 Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded the motion: RESOLUTION NO. 65-256 Roll Call Vote: Scruton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION OF ALL ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING PERFORMANCE BY DAY LABOR (Bartlett Boulevard Adjacent to Registered Land Survey#486, Curb and Gutter) RESURFACING COUNTY ROADS A bill was presented by Northern Contracting for repairing County Roads due to settling after the Spring thaw. The Council asked for a more detailed report from the Engineer and would include them on the tour scheduled this coming Saturday morning. CLAIM ON SEWER CONSTRUCTION - Oswin Pflug Mr. Pflug was present and explained his claim. The Council promised to include his place in their inspections, if not this Saturday, one of the first next Saturdays. Mr. Schoell arrived at meeting at 9:ll P.M. TONKAWOOD DRIVE WATERMAIN EXTENSION Douglas Bryce appeared at meeting to ask for water past his place on Tonkawood Drive. The Engineer had prepared a feasibility report, but the Council asked for further study on it and to report back at meeting to be held next Wednesday evening at the Mound Village Office. RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON IMPROVEMENT (Tonkawood Drive, Water) HAWTHORNE DRIVE, RIDGEWOOD DRIVE, WATER Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded the motion: RESOLUTION NO. 65-258 RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING Roll Call Vote: Scruton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. ON IMPROVEMENT (Hawthorne Drive, Ridgewood Drive, Water) SEWER CHAROES George Shepherd Sr. and George Shepherd Jr. were present and asked for relief on the sewer charge for Shepherd's Cleaning & Laundry. After discussion, Scruton moved that a charge be placed against all properties not connected to sewer in the amount of one-half the minimum charge ($3.?5) beginning July l, 1966. The Village Manager was asked to report at the November 9th meeting the total num- ber connected to sewer. Because there wasn't a full council, it was decided to postpone any action at this time and Mr. Scruton withdrew his motion. REQUEST FOR REZONING - Zaklan The Council asked Mr. Ploetz to contact Attorney Howard (attorney for Mrs. Zaklan) to tell him the Council does not want to rezone by Council initiative, and that the part to be rezoned should be definitely defined as a special use permit has already been granted for part of that land for a filling station. ELECTION JUDGE RERLACEMENTS Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded the motion: RESOLUTION NO. 65-259 Roll Call Vote: Scruton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. RESOLUTION APPOINTING REPLACEMENTS FOR ELECTION JUDGES AND CLERKS THAT ARE UNABLE TO SERVE PAYING AGENCY FOR SEWER AND WATER BONDS - Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded motion: RESOLUTION NO. 65-259a Roll Call Vote: Scruton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. RESOLUTION DESIGNATING PAYING AGENT FOR SEWER AND WATER BONDS BLACKTOP SWAIL - Highway #110 South Scruton moved, DeGuise seconded and it was unanimously carried to restore the blacktop swails on Highway #110 south and west as requested by the County High? way Department, to the condition they were prior to sewer construction FIREMAN'S CLAIM - Broken Glasses at a Fire The Village Manager was instructed to contact the Fire Chief and explain to him that the Council felt a claim of this sort should receive some consideration, but before making a recommendation to pay such a claim there should be an agreement for anything happening in the future, percent to pay~ and~to be handled on an individual basis. GOSPEL LIGHT ALLEY Scruton moved and DeGuise seconded the motion: RESOLUTION NO. 65-260 Roll Call Vote: Sc~uton Aye DeGuise Aye Koehn Aye So carried and Resolved. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING SALE BY QUIT CLAIM OF CERTAIN PROPERTY (Parts of Lots 44 and 45, Koehler's Addition to Mound) BILLS The following bills were presented for approval.
