The Engineer exolained the projects and the need for H ~i&RII, IGS 1. STOP~ SE/fER PROJ~T 67-11 (Mound, Mound Shores, Xoehler's 2nd Addition and Lynwold Park) The Attorney declared the publication and mailing legal and sufficient. Barbara Anderson, Lot ~7, Mound, pre:~anted a ~mp and statement cover- ing property owners affected by this project: One in favor, three unable to contact, ~8 opposed, two church-own~.d and two undecided. The following spoke against the project, many feeling it was a school problem of its own making when the school grounds were filled in: Mrs. Robert Magnus Lots 19 & 20, Mrs. ,Ray Anderson Lot 57, Mound Lloyd Gronberg Lots ~1 & 33, Mound Mr. & Mrs..Marlin Sicheneder Lots 43,~2!~45, Mound Raymond Dick Lots 80,8!, Mound Charles Prestidge Lots 69,70, Mound Robert Gore Lot 102, ~found Allan Liebrenz representing the school said they had made a study of this project and felt the best for the school would be to drain from Bellaire Lane and Elm Road. Anderson moved and Fenstad seconded the motion. STORed SE/F~R PROJECT 67-12 (Harrison Bay) The Attorney declared the pu01ication and mailing legal and sufficient. Phil ?;eiland, Lots 26,27,30,~1, B].~:~'~ 2, Crockers I~keside Park, realized there is a problem for a number of people including himself, but wondered if the engineer couldn't come up with a better solution, a straight-line sewer to Harrison Bay from those properties most in need. John Eiden, Lots 14,15, 16, B]ock 2, Crockers Imke Side Park, agreed. ~[rs. Wilfred Hanson, Lot~~ 19,20,~6 & 37, Block 2, Crockers Lakeside Park, said this project has been put off long enough and it should be done right. 7~'e are in a dust bowl in the summer and snow and mud the rest of the year. Melvin Gimmestad, Lots 17, 18, ~8-40, Block 2, Crockers Lakeside Park, presented a statement covering 48 properties involved. Forty-three were opposed, two were away, one on the fence and two refused to sign. They wanted to make better use of the natural drainage, keep the keep the property in residential zoning and use grassy "easel" (sloping) ditches. R. C. Y~cehn repres~.enting the Methodist Church properties was agreeable to the best interest of the people concerned. W~.Nelson, !.ct 16, Block 4, A. L. Crockers Lakeside Park, said he no longer has water problems after the culvert behind his~ property was correctly placed so the water could take its natural course. Boerhave, Lots 28-~7, Block 5, Crockers Lakeside Park, said he and his neighbors need drainage. (?arcel ~5~5) Douglas Bryce, Lots 28-57, Block ~, Crockers Lakeside Park, said he has a problem with a ditch that fills with water and isn't safe for children. (Parcel Robert B~.~rlet, Lots 17-19, Block ~, Crocker~ Lakeside Park, spoke against the ~roject, Ralph Dealing, Lots ~-5 ~ 5~,~7, B'!ock ~ Crockers Lakeside Park, spohe o~ keep~.ng the cost of projects ~:ithin the estimate first made. John Eiden, Lots 14,1~,16, Block 2, Crockers Lakeside Park, thought the plans were too elaborate. William Ei~ler, Pcl 19, Block 1; Abraham Lincoln Addition to Lakeside Park, tho~ght it was too heavy a burden to add more assessments. He thought there must be a way to solve this at a lower price. Fenstad moved and Regan seconded the motion.
