RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT LOTS 5,6,7, 28,29,50, BLOCK 6, LAKESIDE PARK, A.L. CROCKERS 1ST DIVISIONVARIANCE Hearing continued from November 14, 1967. Mr. Frazer was present and said at the time of putting in the footings for these two buildings he was unaware of it not being at the right setback; the land was tax delinquent and he had put a lot of money into it and the Planning Commission has now recommended that the variance be granted. Mr. Richard Peterson spoke for the property owners opposed to allowing the variance. He realized it was done in error, but he also felt that if zoning ordinances were to be disregarded what was the sense of having them. Mr. Mann, building inspector, was present and admitted the erroz'. Residential A-t requires 10-foot setback on both buildings so they should have been 20 feet apart ~nstead of the 12 feet they now will be. When zoning was brought up to date a few years ago, Block 6 was put into Residential A-1. Had it been put into Residential A-2 as the surrounding area is, the si×-foot setback would have been correct. Regan moved and Fenstad seconded the motion.
