Tho Village Council of the Village of Mound do ordain:
Section 23.011, Subdivision d, is amended to add
eubsoction 9 which shall read as follows:
9. Home Occupations: Homo Occupations which
shall be defined to mean any occupation or'profession
of a service character which is clearly secondary to
the main use of the structure as a one'family
private dwelling and does not change the character
thereof. Any activity resulting in noise, fumes,
traffic, light or odor to such an extent that it
is noticeable that that property is being used for'
non-residential purposes shall not constitute a
home occupation. The use shall be confined to one
room within the principal structure; shall be
engaged in only by persons residing in the dwelling;
and shall not involve retail males of products
produced ofif the site; ~nd shall not have special
parking, lighting, advertising, or other facilities
which would indicate its use for purposes other
than as a One-family, private dwelling.

PLASTIC PIPE UNDE2 C~[{TAIN STANDAEDS AND CONDITIONS
The Village Council of the Village of Mound do ordain:
Section 26.~$ of the Villsje Code is amended as follows:
Section 2~.~$ Plumbing System .- Standards.
(a) The minimum standards ~nd requirements
for plumbing as outliued in the "Basic Plumbing
Principles" of the Minnesota Plumbing Code dated
July ~0, 15S? , as amended, shall apply to
'~he plumbing within' all buildings and to a point
iive (5) fee~ outside of the interior surfact
of ~oundation wall·
(b) Plastic pipe manufactured in accordance
with CSf?O-~ or CS272-~ (PVC) or pipe meeting the
followia~ list of specifications may be used in the
Village unde~ the following conditions:
Plastic sewer pipe and water pipe may be used
above ground as long as it meets the
Specifications outlined in Subsection (c).
Its use shall not be permitted underground·
Drainage, waste and vent fittings must
be of a drain, vent and waste pattern and
shall not be the short type off water type
pattern.
All plastic pipe running horizontal must be
equa'~ely supported at least every 48 inches.
Any pipe carrying water ol a temperature of
more than 1=0 must be supported at z4 inch
intervals.
All plastic pipe must be installed in a neat
and workmanlike manner, and all adhesives used
must be applied in accordance with the
manufacturer's recommendations.
When going from cast iron pipe to plastic
pipe, the caulking compound used must be
applied in accordance wi'th the manufacturer's
recommendations.
(c) All plastic pipe used in the Village must
be manufac-t'-.red in accordance with the following
provisions:

These m~terials must be m~nufactured from resins specified in the
N~tion~l Sanitation Foundation listing d~ed 1~6~, for m~terials,
pipe, fittings and appurtenances for potable wz~ep and dr~in,
w&ste and vent use. A cer'~ific~tion from the m~nufacturer listf, ng
tke ~ype of resin and number as per Nstional Sanitation Foundation
l!sTin~ must be furnished yearly to this office.
This ordinance shall be effective from and after its
adoption by the council ~nd publication in the official newspaper.
