The Vil].ag~ Council of the Villag9 of Nound do ordain: 22.00 is.hereby added' to the Village Code and shall r~zd as follows: Sec. ER.00. Platting Authority to Approve Plats. The ¥111a~e Council shall serve as the platting authdF~,~-y of the Villag~ of Nound in accordance with Ninnesota Laws of lsat, Chapter 670, Sec. 8 (Ninn. Stats. Sec. 4M~.358). No plat, ~eplat, or subdivision of land in the village shall be filed or accepted for fi].in~ by the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or ReEistrar of Titl~s unless it is approved by a certified copy of a resolution adopted by the favorable vote of a majority of the members of the Village Council approving said p~at, replat, or ~ubdivision. Tho p]s. nnin~ commission, with the assistance of the village staff, shall examine such plat and report and make ~ recon~mendatlon thereon in writing to the village council. TH~ grounds for recommending refusal to approv~ a plat shall be set forth in writing and referred to the council and to the per~ons applying for much approval. After receipt of the recommendations of the planning COmmission, the Village Council shall hold a public hearing thereon after notice of the time and place thereof has been publimhed on ce in the official newspaper at least ten days b~£ore the date of the hearing. At such public hearing, all perseus interested in the plat shall be heard, and the Village Council may thereafter ~.pprove or disapprove the plat, but failure of th~ council to act on the application within 80 days after the date of the public hearing shall be deemed as approval of the plat. The grounds for refusal to approve a plat shall be s~t forth by the council in writing and reported to the mpplicant. After approval, the plat may be filed or recorded as otherwise provided by law. Said plat shall be recox, ded within one year of the council's approval; otherwise such approval shall expire. The Vil].a~ Council of the Village of Mound do ordain: '$oction gE.00 is.hereby added to the Village Code and shall r~&d as follows: Sec. 22.00. Platting Authority to Approve Plats. The :~.la:e Council shall serve as the plat'ting autho'~-~'Y of the Village of Mound in accordance with Minnesota Laws of 15~5~ Chapter ~70, Sec. 8 (Minn. Stats. Sec. 45Z.~58). No plat, replat, or subdivision of land in the village shall be filed or accepted for filin~ by the Hennepin County ~eglster Of Deeds or Reols~ra of Titles unless it is approved by a certified copy of a resolution adopted by the favorable vote of a majority of the members of the Village Council approvin~ said plat , rsplat, or subdivision. The pl~.nnin~ commission, with the assistance of the village staff, shall examine such plat and report and m~ke ~ r~con~mendation thereon in writing to the village council. Th~ grounds for recommending refusal to approv~ a plat shall be set forth in writing and referred to the council and to the per~ons ~pplying for such approval. After receipt of the recommendations of the planning commission, the Village Council shall hold a public hearing theroon after notice of the time and place thereof has been published on c e in the official newspaper at least ten days before the date of the hearing. At such public hearing, all persons interested in the plat shall be heard, and the Village Council may thereafter ~.pprove or disapprove the plat, but failure of tho council to act on the application within 80 days after the date of the public hearing shall be deemed as approval of the plat. The grounds for refusal to approve a plat shall b~ set forth by the council in writing and reported to the &pplic~nt. After approval, the plat may be filed or recorded as otherwise provided by law. Said plat shall be recorded within one year of the council's approval; otherwise such approval shall expire.
