Bernard Winkel~ Street Superintendent recommends the purpase of the 'Pelicant
Street Sweeper because his crewJwere in favor of this sweeper, because of the
front bucket and its general adaption to the streets in Mound;;the Manager said
he did not feel the 'Pelican' was $4,000.00 better than the lowbid. McQueen
salesman said all its control are in the cab, a great advantage over the others..
Andreasen cited the anti-pollution feature and moved for the purchase of the
Pelican for $15,O59.O0 (the base price with all options) Eldo Schmidt seconded
the motion.

Resolution 70-129 to have the second ad Schmidt. Peterson moved and Andreasen
seconded a motion to accept the minutes of May 12, 1970 as corrected~ ~he vote
was unanimously in favor, so rried.
PARKING PROBLEM ON PIPER AND TUXEDO
Peterson moved and Andreasen seconded the motion
BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the staff be
directed to advise A1 Quist that parking bans will be put on
Piper and Tuxedo by July 1, 1970 unless the necessary materials
and fees are in the Village Office by June 28, 1970, by letter.
The vote was Swenson Nay, all others aye, so carried.
Andreasen moved and Peterson seconded a motion to adjourn until June 9, 1970 at
7:30 P.M. at the Island Park Hall. The vote was unanimously in favor so carried
and adjourned..
