The Mayor said the required set back of 30 feet was too much, and even 15 feet would
be excessive..
Richard Gelhaye asked the council to deny the special use permit at this time.~
Dorothy le Fave and Mary DeVonney expressed doubts about the Chester Park Beach
if this were granted. Beth Hiller was opposed to permit.
Bud Skoglund thought the boat traffic and the traffic to the swimming beach would
be at such different times as not in interferwith each other.

FOR NO PARKING ZONES, LIMITED PAREING ZONE3, AND PROHIBITING
PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS
The Village Council of the Village of Mound do ordain:
Section ~6.29 of the Village Code is amended to read as follows:
Subd. 1.
Designation of No Parking Zones and Limited Parking Zones.
The Council may from time to time by ordinance adopted by a
majority vote designate certain streets, or portions thereof,
as "No Parking" zones, or as "Limited Parking" zones, and
direct the Street Commissioner or the Chief of Police to
accordingly place proper signs thereon and/or appropriately
paint the curbs thereby to indicate their character.
Subd. 2. The following designated streets and locations shall prohibit
parking at any time:
1. Both sides of Edgewater Drive from Fairview Lane to Northern
Road.
2. East side of Basswood Lane from Church Road to Tonkawood Road.
5. Both sides of Belmont Lane from Shoreline Boulevard to Tonka-
wood Road
4. E~st side of Waterside Lane for 100' north of Tonkawood Road

CODE OF 1969 BY REFEP~qCE
The Village Council of the ~illage of Mound does ordain~
Section 26.63, Subd.~ a, of the village~Code is amended to read
as follows:
(a) In accordance with the authority granted to the
Village by Minnesota Statut es. Section 471.62, the Village ~
Council does hereby adopt by reference the Minnesota Plumbing
Code filed with the Secretary of State and the Department of
Administration in June, 1969, of which at least three copies
of said Code, marked "Official Copies" shall be on file in '~
the office of the Village Clerk. The aforementioned Code as
promulgated by the State Department of Health shall be the
minimum standard and requirement for plumbing in the Village
and shall apply to all the plumbing within all buildings
and to a point five (5) feet outside of.the interior surface
of the foundation wall. The standards and requirements as estab~
lished by the Minnesota Plumbing Code shall apply in all cases
except as hereafter modified by other sections of this ordinance,

Section 39.02 of the Village Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 39.02 Securing of Dog License Each owner, k~eper,
or harborer of a dog Shall secure such liCense as required by
Section -$- 39.01 herein by payment of the appropriate fee therefor
to the Village-~erk on or before April 30th of each and every year,
or immediately upon obtaining ownership or possession of .any dog or
upon establishing residence in the Village. Ail dogs licensed here-
under must have a current rabies vaccination and the 'da't'e of sa'id
'vaccination 'shall b'e state'd On the appl ica't ion ."' The clerk shall
~'a'use a notice' o'f th~ necessity of' obtalni'n"~~ '~'uch license to be
published in the official newspaper one time before the first day
of April each year.
Section 39.08 of the Village Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 39.0~ Penalty for Late Application All license
applications are to be com'pleted on or b~e'£ore April 1 of each year.
Applications received by the village clerk between April 1 and
April 30th' shall be issued without a penalty. Applications re-
ceived by the Village between May 1 and May 10th, inclusive shall
require a late applicati~r~ ~ee of 505 ~o be added to the annual
license fee. Applicatio~ recexved a~ter ~ay 10th shall require a
late application fee $~..JO to be added to the annual license fee.
Said penalties for ~.~p!Lcat~ons sh~.ll also apply to all licenses
issued by the Villa der Section 65.~3 o~ the V~ilage Code. No
such penalty shall ce p~ ~y ~ parse" ;. ~' ~ a resident oi the Village,
or for a dog acquired wA~hin ~ne ~mm~ .... ~ 30 days preceding
application or for a dog which was not ~ n~ee months old on April 1
of the license year. It shall be the responsibility ~f every owner

Andreasen moved and Swenson seconded a motion
BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that a street light be
installed at Church Road and Cedar Lane (175) lumen.
The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
Swenson moved and $chmidt seconded a motion to adjourn until the meeting of JUly
21, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. where the adjourned Board of Review and an adjourned council
meeting will be held. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and adjourned.
