Such space shall be provided with vehicular access to street or alley and shall be considered required open space associated with the per-' mitted use. It shall not be reduced or encroached upon in any manner after the use is established. Where such space cannot be reasonably provided on the same lot with the principal use, the Council, after receiving the advice and recom- mendation of the Planning Commission may permit such space to be located on other off-street property if the space is within 500 feet of the permitted use, measured along lines of public access. Parcels of land separated by an alley, ~ street, or another Darcel of land which are used to provide the req~ired off- street parking under the orovisions of Subd. I of this section which are ner- mitted by the council under this subdivision of the ordinance may be condition- ed by the council to provide that the owner shall file a covenant with the Reg- ister of Deeds or the Registrar of Titles restricting the use of the parcel to being an assessory use to the principal use for wb&ch the structure or the off- street parking is provided. Such covenant may not be rezmved from said land without the consent of the Village Council and a copy of the covenant showingthe recording stamp shall be filed with the Village Clerk before any .permits to improve or construct off- street parking on said premises is approved. The Village Council.of the Village of Mound does ordain:'''' Section 26.02 is amended to read as follows: 26.02 Minimum Standar. d,s~. Notwithstanding any provision of said Uniform Building Code, as adopted herein, permitting thinner construction materials, or omission of finish sheathing, the ,following are established as minimum standards: (a) This subsection is repeatedj~ (b) Sub-floor and Finish Floor.~ Sub-flooring dimension shall be not less than ~/2 inch thickness for plywood or 1 inch board. Finish fl~or thickness sb~ll be of a minimum of 1/2 inch. If 1 inch tongue and groove plywood or 2 inch~ ...decking is used, no sub-floor is necessary. Where sub-floor and finish floor is all plywood, a total of 1 inch shall meet the requirements of this section. 110 (c) Exterior Walls Sheathing. When single wall construction is used for exterior walls,· it shall be not less than 1/2 inch thickness at its thinnest point. Finished sheathing of plywood in addition to plywood or other sub- sheathing may be used. (d) Trusses. Rafter on 2h-inch center consisting of approved trusses are permitted. The maximum span thereof for both upper and lower segments must not exceed those permitted by the tables of the Building Code' for a hO-oound live load for roofs and a 20-pound live load for ceiling. Roof sheathing on trusses must be 1/2 inch, or more, plywood for roof slopes greater than h feet in 12 feet, and 5/8 inch plywood is required for roof slope of less than h feet in 12 feet. All end suooorts of plywood must be supoorted with blocking designed for this purpose. One half inch sheetrock may be apolied if fire rating is not reouired provided wood blocking or glued sheetrock backing is used. SECTION 26.02 subsection (e) is hereby added to the Village Code and sha~ll read as follows: (e) Factory Housing-.- UBd.wReports. The Village is aware of the many tech- nical change~ in the construction of residential housiog. In lieu of process- ing each application as a variance to the construction code, the following procedure shall be followed: (1) Any construction which meets all requirements of the construction code shall be processed by the village administrative staff. (2) Applications for variances from the code Which relate to UBC res- earch reports for specific types of factory built homes shall be pro- cessed in accordance with the standard variance procedures but the Plan- ning Commission can recommend, a~d the Village Council by resolution Day approve, a specific model or research report or standard, and direct the administrative staff to process future apolications in accordance with said reports or standards, Said reoorts, standards or model specificat- ions shall then be deemed to meet the construction code requirements un- til removed by the Council from the approved list or until a new UBC re- search report is issued on said model. If a new renort is issued the administrative staff shall then recommend to the Council the aporoval of the new standards or removal of said model from the approved list. SECTION 26.02 subsection (f) is hereby added t'o the Village Code and shall read ss follows: (f) Minimum SQuare Feet.
