Central Businees District Parking Hearin~ Willi@m Mills, Engineer o~tlined the cost fizures and m~thod of spreading the assessment. Don Franke representin~ the Masonic Lodge nrotested their assessment, staying the lodge memebers only used the Darkin~ at night when the businessmen did not need it. Peter R. Kitchak attorney ~^%th +ia ~irm of Faeere & Benson of Minneapolis aeneared re,resetting iR. J Rondorf vrotested that assessment. Jerry Sta~eberg represen%ins Tonka Toys nrotested their assessment. Mrs. Lauer s~oke for her husband Dr. Robert Lauer and ~raised the nroject; Jerry Longpre also praise4 the project as a great step forward. Dick Anderson of Anderson Furniture spoke aEainst his assessment as did. Ha~rvey Parker Jr.. Thomas Brandvold questioned his inclusion in the oroject. Willard Hillier of t, he Ben Fr~nklin Store spoke in favor of the project and stated the ~reat need of such facilities. ?rank Livingston, Ray Pierce, and Charles Hartman spoke as citizens asking what if any would it cost the Mound Taxpayer and what bane{it wou].d it be to the average taxpayer. Village Manager, Leonard Kopo answered that the Village share would be absorbed over a period of years in the returns from the annual maintenance charges to the businessmen. An error in the legal advertisement was acknowledged and a new hearing was set.
