1972-05-2371 MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 23, 1972 at 8:00 P.M. at the SHI.-2LE~ .HILLS SCHOOL, MO~$~D, MI~NESOTA Mayor John D. Notula called the meeting to order. The clerk called the roll, present were Mayor John D. Kotula, Councilmen John Andreasen, Eldo Schmidt, Donald Ulrick and Gordon Swenson, and Attorney Curtis Pearson, Village Manager Leonard Kopp and James Hayes of Mills Engineering. IDL~OOD WATER HEARING Mr Hayes outlined, the project with the aid of an over-head projector. Henry Sawicki said he bought the house with the understanding that water was in and paid for; however it seems he is served with a copoer line and no assessment for water has been paid on that Oroperty. (~ Lot l0 and all of lot ll, Block lO, Highlands) Mrs Paul Anderson said they did not need water on their lots as they did not intend to build on them. Andreasen moved and Schmidt seconded a motion to acceot the minutes of the May 9, 1972 meeting as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and acceoted. The minutes of 'the Board of Review, May 17, 1972 were presented. Andreasen moved and Sch~idt seconSed a motion to accept the minutes of the Board of Review, May 17, 1972 as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and acceoted. Museum was discussed briefly. FIREMEN PENSION Fi~D - discussed. Pensdon Committeee will meet with the Mound Council on May 5Oth at the Village Office for further discussion. Items 1 and 2 - Occupancy Permits and Vacation of Unopened roads will be taken up again at the May 30th meeting. The attorney was directed to draw up a new fence ordinance i~corporating the recommendations of the Planning Commission. Tiling of Foundations was discussed - The insoector will contact the State Hearing Board on the new Building Ordinance and ask about including the tiling of foundations. John Scruton came before the council with a dust problem, administration will try to work out a partial solution; the more permanent solution being a blacktopping project.
