MINUTES OF THE COUNGIL MEETING OF SEPTEMB~ 26, 1972 AT SHIRLEY HIIIS SCHOOL
Present were: Mayor John B. Kotula; Councilmen Eldo Schmidt, John Andreasen,
Donald Ulrick and Gordon Swenson; Attorney Curtis Pearson, Mans§er Leonard
Kopp and Engineer K¢ith Englesby.
MINUTES
The Minutes of the Septamber 12, 1972 were presented. Ulrick moved and Schmidt
seconded a motion to accept the minutes of September 12, 1972 as presented. The
vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
The Minutes of the August 22, 1972 meeting were presented. Andreasen moved and
Ulrick seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the August 22, 1972 meeting as
presented. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
HEARING FOR CBD PARHINGMAINTENANCE
Engineer Keith Englesby presented the report and the assessment roll.
Howard Orn objected to his share of the maintenance assessment stating that he had
more than adequate parking and did not need anYmore behind his garage. The Manager
stated that cars from his garage or under his renters control were parked on this
lot for varying periods.
Frank Livingston, a taxpayer was opposed to the village share and rent paid for
parking areas.
Jerry Longpre spoke for the Ohamber of Commerce and stated he felt the assessment
was fair and equitable.

COMMENTS FROM CITIZENS
Barbara Walters complained about harassment of the public by youths congregated
in the business area north of Prize Pantry.
Tom Reese complained about the feeding of wild ducks near the Surfside~ thus
upsetting the natural cycle of migration and propagation of the species. It also
attracts 9reater numbers of ducks resultin9 in more pollution of the lake and
