SCHLUTER FOR SERVICES ON THE MOUND HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 1967-1973 The vote was unanimously in favor ROBERT E. Andreasen .moved and Fenstad seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the July 22, 1~73 meeting ss presented. The vote was unanimously in favor. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEDNATIONS Mr and Mrs Anthony Hayes appeared to appeal the denial of the Mound Planning Commission. Roy Sorenson spoke in opposion of the variance, saying that the Building Code should be observed. Mr Hayes said this was private commons rather than public commons and thus a smaller group was a£fected. Don Smith spoke in favor of the variance. Several of Mr Hayes's neighbors attended the meeting and when he said they came in his support, no denial was heard except from Roy Sorenson who spoke in opposSon. Fenstsd moved and Andreasen seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-239 RESOLUTION I]ENYING FRONT YARD VARIANCE (Lots 1 & 22, Blook 7, Woodland Point) Roll Call Vote Fenstad Aye Andreasen Nay Ulrick Nay Swenson Nay Kotula Nay Resolution failed Andreasen moved and Swenson seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-239a RESOLUTION GRANTING FRONT YARD VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT A BECK (Lots 1 & 22, Block 7, Woodland Point) (Set back six feet from Woodland Road and 2 feet from the Commons~ in line with the house main The vote was unanimously in favor structure only, not to extend under eave overhang~ no enclosure to be allowed Note: The attorney was instructed to give the council a clarification of the differences between private and public commons. Hans Sandom Lots 22 and north ½ of Lot 21, Blook ~, Shirley Hills Unit B Fenstad moved and Ulrick seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-220 RESOLUTION GRANTING SIDE YARD VARIANCE (Lot 22 and North ~ of Lot 21, Block ~, Shirley Hills Unit B) The vote was unanimously in favor Alan Gustner Part of Lots 8~ and 86, Mound Shores Mr Gustner appeared before the council. Ulrick moved and Fenstad seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the matter be tabled and Mr Alan Gustner get a letter of approval from his neighbor £or his proposed side yard variance. The vote was unanimously in favor. ii? Lots 1 thru 6, Block 1, ~ychwood and Lots 26 thru 28, Block 2~, geton Vacation o£ Kells Road No one appeared to represent the Blumberg Homes Inc interest. ?enstad moved and Ulrick seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-2hl RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE VACATION OF KELLS ROAD (September 11, 1973) The vote was Kotula opposed and all others in favor PLAI~ING COMMISSION ITEMS VI THRU Andreasen moved and Ulrick seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, by the Vil~ ge Council of the Village o£ Mound that items 6 thru 9 of the Planning Commission be tabled ~:~ ..... :~.~' the items concern Subdivision, Front Yard Variance, Fence Height Variance, and Dredging for Lots 1-6, Block 1, Wychwood and Lots 26-28, Block 22, Seton. The vote was unanimously in favor Frank Grazzini, Sr. Lot h and parts of Lots 7 and 8, Block 11, Seton, Lots 5, Block 11, Seton Subdivision of land to allow permanent access to Lot ~ Andreasen moved and Fenstad seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-222 RESOLUTION ALLOWING DIVISION OF PROPERTY (Block Seton, Lots 2, 5 and parts of 7 and 8) The vote was unanimously in favor BRIARWOOD RESTAURANT Leonard Bonander appeared in support of his request for a sign variance, he stated that the County has put in the stakes and instructed that the signs must be erected inside of the stakes. Swenson moved and Ulrick seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-223 RESOLUTION GRANTING SIGN VARIANCE (Briarwood Restaurant) The vote was unanimously in favor Mrs Espiritu Lot 16 Block iL Arden (Mrs Espiritu was present) .Andressen moved and Swenson seconded a motion RESOLUTION RESOLUTION REFERRING REQUEST TO REOPEN COFFEE SHOP ON LOT 16, Block I2, Arden, BACK TO PLANNING COMI~ISSION FOR REVIEWAL (Rezonin§ will be necessary) The vote was unanimously in favor LITTLE~UE FIELD NUMBKRTWO Walt Jarl appeared to support the request of the Little League to establish another Little Field west of the present one. (Note: Attorney stated that a new section could be added to the ordinance to allow professional offices by special permit of rezoning of property into zoning allowing such use be applied for.)
