Kotula, Councilmen Gordon Swenson, Orval Fenstad, Donald Ulrick and John Andreasen; Village ~nager Leonard Kopp, Attorney Curtis Pearson, Engineer Keith En§lesby and Architect James O'Brien MINUTES Ulrick moved and Fenstad seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the Nov¢.mber 13, 1973 meetin§ as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor, so accepted. Fenstad moved and Andreasen seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the November 20, 1973 meetin§ as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor, so accepted. BIDg FOR VILLAGE OFFICE FURNITURE The architect recommended the bid of General Office Products for $7,000.00. The vote was unanimously in favor. CHANGE OROERFOR NEW VILLAGE OFFICES The additional walls and partitions needed in the Police area and the manager's office were discussed~ no action was taken. SEWFj{ I]EPARTMENT TRUCK The Engineer presented the specifications for a sewer department truck and asked the council to accept them and go to bid for a truck while such a vehicle would still be available. Andreasen moved and Fenstad seconded a motion RE~OLUTION 73-357 RESOL~ION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR SEWER DEPARTMENT TRUCK ANO AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING FOR BIBS. The vote was unanimously in favor Oki] FIRE RESCUE TRUCK The Mound Police Reserve'hard, asked rom the 6Id Fire Rescue Truck that will be soon replaced; the council all felt that this would be §ood use if it suited their needs. No action is necessary. COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS BY CITIZENS PRESENT - no response MUNICIPAL STATE A/Ii STREET - Cypress The en§ineer reported that Cypress Lane had been named a State Aid Road~:by the State. Fenstad moved and Ulrick seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-358 RESOLUTION ~ECLARING CYPRESS LANE TO BE A MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET AND ORDERING A PRELIMINARY REPORT The roll call vote was unanimously in favor BEACHSII1E I]EVELOPERS Earl Nelson was present. Fenstad Feels there is enough multiple dwellin9 zoning no more is needed at this time Ulrick Nelson Suggests that Mr Nelson 9et a petition to the neighbors and set their feelsing and support. He 9ot a petition before and have the support of the neighbors as they perferred the town house buffer between their homes and apartment houses Andreasen These strip lots are not a buffer. ZONING ORDINANCE AMEN~T Fenstad moved and Swenson seconded a motion RESOLUTION 73-361 RESOLUTION ~-iTTING ~G FOR A1REEI]ING ZONING OR[]INANCE TO ALL~OFFICEgASA USE BY SPECIAL PERMIT IN THE MULTIPLE USE DISTRICTS (Dec. 18, The vote was unanimously in favor 1973) SET MEETING IN nECEMBER Fenstad moved and Swenson seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the Village Council will hold a meeting on December 18, 1973 at 7:30 P.M. at Shirley Hills School. The vote was unanimously in favor. E~{ERGEECY GUIDE LINES TO CONSERVE FUEL AND ELECTRICITY Andreasen moved and Fenstad seconded a:~motion RESOLUTION 73-362 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING FEDERAL GUIDE LINES FOR THE CONSERVATION OF FUEL AND ELECTRICITY DURING THE ENERGY CRISIS The vote was unanimously in favor The staff was directed to send a copy of the resolution to the Chamber of Commerce.
