NOVEMBER 20, 2003
The City Council of the City of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota, met in special
workshop session on Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. in the council
chambers of City Hall.
Members Present: Mayor Pat Meisel, Councilmembers Mark Hanus, David Osmek,
Bob Brown and Peter Meyer.
Others Present: City Manager Kandis Hanson, Community Development Director
Sarah Smith, Parks Superintendent Jim Fackler, Public Works Superintendent Greg
Skinner, Public Works Director Carlton Moore, Police Chief Jim Kurtz, Fire Chief Greg
Pederson, Finance Director Gino Businaro.
'1. OPEN MEETING
Mayor Meisel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. 2004 BUDGET DISCUSSION
City staff presented changes to the proposed budget, resulting in approximately
$38,000 reduction in expenditures. Council gave direction to the City Manager on their
desired target for 2004/2005 salary and benefit increases as well as the level of levy
increase and general fund balance.
3. ADJOURN
MOTION by Osmek, seconded by Hanus to adjourn at 7:25 p.m. All voted in favor.
Motion carried.
