The c~erk read 'a letter ~ddreSse~ to the council~by Justice of ~the P~eace Arthur Holmquist requesting legal aid in a case to i~ppea~ before him on July 6th ~, !946. I% w as recommended t~at Holmq~ist refer his problem to the county attorney. iOn tk~ Basis of t'he proper applications appearing ~ ~hefore t~e coune~l, with ~opropriate fees, the following license~ were awarded to renew th~se terminated on June 30~h, 1946. Peter Sollie : Off Sale Beer, Gravez Grocery : Off Sale Beer & ~oft Drink, R. D, Gr ant, A. Pin Ball Machine at Chapman's Pavilion and 2 Pin Ball 4achines a~ the Northland Cafe. This was on a m~tion by Rondorf, Newcomb supportlnS; the council agreeing. On the basis of an examination and audit dated June 14, 19&6, Mayor Louise Huestis and Trustee Newcomb, as a committee, reported thai the Village of Mound, financed through the Water and Liouor Funds, is the present holder of $19,500.00 worth of U. ?.
