1980-10-16127 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL October 16, 1980 Pursuant to the cal! of a special meeting on October 14, 1980 the City Council of the City of Mound,Hennepin County, Minnesota met at 5341Maywood Road in said City on October 16, 1980 at 8:30 p.m. Those present were: Mayor Tim Lovaasen, Councilmembers Robert Polston and Donald Ulrick. Also present was Acting City Manager Mary H. Marske. LAKE AREA SPORTS CENTER Ulrick moved and Polston seconded a motion RESOLUTION 80-405 RESOLUTION TO CONCUR WITH THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO APPROVE THE SUBDIVISION INCLUD- ING THE STIPULATIONS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 5) REGARDING C.B.D. ASSESSMENT ROLL. The vote was unanimously in favor. Ulrick moved and Polston seconded a motion to direct the staff to draft a letter confirming that the City will issue a building permit upon evidence of intent to convey ownership of property from the School District to the Lake Area Sports Center Assocation. The vote was unanimously in favor. STREET CONTRUCTION Highland Boulevard - 3026 Polston moved and Lovaasen seconded a motion to concur with the attorneys findings regarding the basement that encroaches on City right of way and request the engin- eer to advise the property owner that the condition should be corrected as soon as possible. The vote was unanimously in favor. Waterbury Road Polston moved and Lovaasen seconded a motion to approve the construction of a retaining wall not to exceed $500. to avoid condemnation proceedings on this matter noting that the Counci! recognizes a hardship due to the topography. The vote wa~ unanimously in favor. ADJOURNMENT Polstom moved and Ulrick seconded a motion to adjourn to the next regular meeting on October 21, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. The vote was unanimously in favor, so adjourned.
