2015-10-13 HRA Meeting MinutesMOUND HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY October 13, 2015 The Mound Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Mound, Minnesota, met in regular session on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 6:55 p.m. in the council chambers of the Centennial Building. Members present: Chair Mark Wegscheid, Heidi Gesch, Kelli Gillispie, Jennifer Peterson, Ray Salazar Members absent: none Others present: Catherine Pausche, Eric Hoversten , Sarah Smith, City Engineers Dan Faulkner and Brian Simmons Public Present: Katie Morford, Doug Kaiser, Mark Saliterman, Holly Johnson, Shawna Johnson, Fred Polkey, Nancy Taran, Derek Ervin, Scott Kivisto, Jason Helland, Ben Bunn, Rhonda Bunn, Timothy Gorlov, Nathaniel Reinitz, Susan Baker, Max Avalos, Dana Reinitz, Jamie Yarger, Elizabeth Arkadie , Marie Everson, Len Princivalli, Kent Friedrichsen, Dan Bot, Loren Pellett, Joe Bruns, Richard Branrud. 1. Open meeting Chair Mark Wegscheid called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. 2. Approve agenda MOTION by Salazar, seconded by Gesch, to approve the agenda. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 3. Approve minutes MOTION by Salazar, seconded by Gesch, to approve the minutes of the Sept 22, 2015 regular meeting. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 4. Approve claims MOTION by Salazar, seconded by Gesch, to approve the claims in the amount of $15,835.70. All voted in favor. Motion carried. 5. Sarah Smith Community Development Director, requesting discussion/action related to termination of Contract for Private Development between HRA and Mound Harbor Renaissance Development Smith gave background on the agreement with Mound Harbor Renaissance (MHR) Development. The current agreement is the third addendum and due to three contract provisions not being satisfied and the fact that the company has dissolved, staff is recommending terminating the agreement. Staff spoke with the former head of MHR, Dave Neuman, and said he has no objections. MOTION by Gesch, seconded by Peterson, to direct staff to prepare the necessary paperwork to terminate the contract with Mound Harbor Renaissance Development. 6.
