Subject: Canvass of November 3 Municipal Election Results - FINAL
Municipalities must canvass the election between 3 and 10 days after the election. Typically, we are
able to do so at a regular meeting, but because Hennepin County will continue to process ballots
postmarked as of November 3, 2020 but received up until November 10, 2020, they have directed all
cities to canvass the municipal results on November 13, 2020. It should be noted all absentee ballots
received through 3PM on Election Day have been counted and included in the preliminary unofficial
results, so any additional ballots are not expected to impact the outcome of the races.
The attached resolution has been updated with the final results as well as the write tallies have been
included.
